Full Moon in Virgo, March 12/13

Full Moon in Virgo, March 12/13

The Full Moon  in Virgo opposes the Sun/Chiron conjunction in Pisces and makes a stressful square to Saturn. We might feel pulled in two directions simultaneously, between trying make rational decisions versus having trust in our own intuitive wisdom. Nevertheless, this is a potent moment in time, when unhelpful value judgements can be dissolved leading to a greater integration & self-acceptance.

Virgo is the sign of transition into the next step of our evolutionary journey, concerned with self-refinement and in-depth preparation; Pisces learns to trust inner guidance and develops its intuitive abilities. Keywords for Virgo Moon are: clear away, release, integrate & heal; keywords for Pisces are: fusion, seeking union with a greater whole, unconditional love and compassion.

The Full Moon is in square to Saturn challenging us to release unproductive programs that create low self-esteem and feelings of unworthiness. It highlights the source of self-undermining behaviours. Aiming for self-acceptance and self-love instead of feeling rejected and victimised is the path forward; moving beyond ‘good’ or ‘bad’ provides the key. Chiron, the wounded healer is conjunct the Sun and opposite the Moon emphasising the theme of collective suffering invoking compassion. Through the personal experience of pain and suffering we have learned helping others who are in crisis and distress, hence finding a deeper connection with Soul and our own divine essence. This doesn’t mean that we have to deny our own truth for the purpose of ‘keeping the peace’, ‘giving in’ and taking the path of least resistance, which than can drive us right into co-dependant behaviour. In contrary, when both signs are balanced, we can evaluate a situation independently and clearly, while remaining loving and empathetic.

Venus retrograde March 4 – April 14, 2017

Venus retrograde March 4 – April 14, 2017

Venus in Aries begins a six-week retrograde cycle today (from March 4 until April 14). Venus retrograde happens every 18 months while Venus retrograde in Aries happens once every eight years.  When the planet of values and self-worth reverses direction,  we enter a period of self-evaluation.  Venus is the Goddess of beauty, joy and  love, symbol for the divine feminine, but when retrograde, she can expose her more ‘darker side’. Venus in our natal chart represents the heights and lows that we are able to experience through our desire nature. She is important for our sense of happiness and fulfillment.  A positive Venus is loving, pleasant, joyful and fulfilled. A distorted Venus can become vain, selfish, jealous and needs attention. While in Aries, there could be inner conflicts because we might feel unfulfilled or unhappy in some ways. Of course, it might have to do with our relationship dynamics, how we feel valued and loved and how we love and value others. It could affect other areas of our life, such as work, making money, social acceptance and personal appearance. We could regard this Venus cycle as an intensified self-discovery process. It can coincide with a separation from those situations, circumstances and relationships that  don’t align anymore with our true values, sense of harmony and self-worth.

Venus, as the ‘great balancer’ in the cosmos and has a lot to do with our heart energy. When in doubt we can ask our heart and intuit if it ‘sinks’ or ‘sings’…
